Hi, my name is Kenneth Pippin. I'm a Lieutenant, Critical Care Paramedic, and Medical Officer for a Fire Department in Central Texas. I have over 18 years of experience in Fire and EMS and hold a BAAS in Fire and Emergency Services and an AAS in EMS. I am a CCP-C, Texas Licensed Paramedic, EMS Instructor, and Master Firefighter. In addition to my full time job and this consulting business, I also teach Active Threat classes nationwide.
My favorite part of my job is helping patients in their time of need, and nothing makes a greater impact on that than Pre-Hospital Whole Blood. My fire department has carried Pre-Hospital Whole Blood for almost 5 years now and we transfuse it frequently. I have personally witnessed dozens of patients survive injuries that would otherwise be deadly thanks to Whole Blood, and I can tell you it is nothing short of amazing.
I started EMS Blood Consultants to help spread this treatment across the country through customized problem-solving and training.
First impressions of the PAX Blood Cooler Bag and comparison to the Pelican Products Credo ProMed. 🚑 🩸 Both are great options and available from North American Rescue, Bound Tree Medical, and other distributors. I am not affiliated with either company or any distributors, my opinions are my own, and prices given are estimates.
The Credo ProMed Cooler is a great cost-effective option for transporting whole blood in EMS. I have no financial connection with the manufacturer. This cooler keeps blood or blood products at 1-6 celcius for 12-24 hours and is simple to use.
Quick demo of the QinFlow Warrior Lite Blood Warmer. 🩸🚑 This is one of the two options I recommend to make prehospital blood transfusions easy. This one can infuse WARM blood at about 200 ml/min! Fast! (Only thing I would add would be a pressure infuser) Giving blood in the field isn’t complicated! I have no financial connection. My opinions are my own.
Quick demo of the North American Rescue Quantum Blood Warmer. 🩸🚑 This is one of the two options I recommend to make prehospital blood transfusions easy. (Only thing I would add would be a pressure infuser) Giving blood in the field isn’t complicated! I have no financial connection. My opinions are my own.
